Garden—Factory

The Factory building emerges on the site of the former Efanor Factory, a place deeply marked by industrial memory. The project is integrated into The Garden residential development, a contemporary housing complex that articulates city and nature. Its founding intent is to transform the former factory grounds into a space for urban living with a strong connection to the natural environment — an ambition reinforced by the presence of an approximately 3-hectare private park surrounding the building.
The conceptual narrative of Factory draws on its industrial heritage, reinterpreting that memory through an aesthetic that blends modern minimalism with subtle references to metal structures and the formal honesty characteristic of industrial architecture. This duality—between past and present, between factory typology and cosmopolitan living—is the foundation of the project.
The architectural proposal privileges transparency, with large glazed openings, balconies, and terraces oriented toward the park, fostering a seamless transition between domestic interior and natural surroundings. The landscape is not merely a backdrop—it is an active component of everyday living.
The volumetry is defined by clean lines, and the metal-clad façade is more than an aesthetic choice: it is a conceptual statement. The metal skin creates a compelling visual performance; its slats and panels cast dynamic shadows throughout the day, generating patterns that shift with the sun and give the building a sense of its own vitality. Each loft experiences light in a unique way, providing an ever-changing, almost artistic atmosphere.
The narrative of Factory—from historic industrial site to contemporary loft—establishes the project as one of strong identity, aligned with modern urban challenges such as densification, sustainability, rehabilitation, and enhanced quality of life.
